Who performs the restoration work
Dearborn Water Damage Restoration takes telephone and web requests for water damage help and routes them. It performs no extraction, drying, mold work or repair of its own. Every request goes to a separately owned, licensed local restoration firm, the partner for that job, and only that firm bears responsibility for its assessment, estimate, equipment and workmanship, and for any contractor licence its work requires.
Michigan's Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) issues residential contractor licences, Residential Builder and Maintenance and Alteration Contractor, under Article 24 of the Occupational Code, Public Act 299 of 1980, and states that work priced under $600 in aggregate is exempt. Nothing here says whether extraction or drying alone falls within those licences, and nothing here asserts that a state licence for mold work exists or does not. Dearborn Water Damage Restoration and this website are not contractors, hold no such licence and claim none.
The partner's licence number may be requested by calling (833) 490-5225 at any hour, or when the partner phones before its visit. To protect the partner's private business details, the number is never published on this website. Confirm any number you receive with LARA before you authorise repair work.

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Repair and reconstruction work in Michigan is regulated by that state's contractor licensing board. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
